Job summary

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering and construction organisation to hire a Project Planner / Scheduler for large-scale infrastructure and data centre projects in Malaysia.

You will take ownership of project planning and scheduling, using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to keep timelines realistic and aligned with project objectives from tender through execution. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of planning or scheduling experience within the construction or engineering industry.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Good understanding of resource planning, project scheduling, project controls, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and Critical Path Method (CPM).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and recommend recovery or mitigation plans.
• Prepare project reports, including S-curves, bar charts, and critical path analysis.
• Support tender planning, baseline schedule development, and schedule impact analysis.
• Coordinate project schedules with cost control, resource planning, and client requirements.
