About the role
Masimo is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Planner (Production Planning & Material Planning) to join our manufacturing operations in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our production efficiency and ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout our manufacturing facility. As Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing material requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet our operational objectives and deliver products on time to our customers. This role is integral to maintaining our competitive advantage in the manufacturing sector and directly impacts the success of our supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate production schedules based on demand forecasts, sales orders and capacity planning

Monitor inventory levels and identify material requirements to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid production delays

Prepare material purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and raw materials

Analyse production capacity and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and minimise lead times

Track production progress and make real-time adjustments to schedules to address any bottlenecks or unexpected issues

Liaise with production, procurement and sales teams to align on delivery commitments and operational constraints

Maintain accurate planning documentation and prepare regular reports on production performance and material planning metrics

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance planning effectiveness

Support demand forecasting activities and contribute to business planning initiatives

What we're looking for

Proven experience in production planning or material planning within a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and planning software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent knowledge of inventory management principles and material requirements planning (MRP)

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to maintain accuracy in complex data environments

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

A relevant qualification in supply chain management, operations management, or related field would be advantageous

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards is preferred
