Job summary

IoTronix Technologies Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is expanding its production planning team. We seek a Material Planner to develop and maintain material plans, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure uninterrupted production.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in SCM or related field, 3+ years of material planning or SCM experience, and proficiency in SAP and Excel. Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in material planning or supply chain management.
• Language: Fluent in Chinese and English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time order completion.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, inventory and production teams to align schedules.
• Adjust production plans for demand changes, material shortages, or delays.
• Ensure production output meets quality standards and specifications.
• Lead and support the material planning team to meet goals.
• Ensure availability of materials, equipment and manpower for planned production.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement to avoid shortages or excess.
• Track production performance, analyze data and identify bottlenecks.
• Drive lean improvements to boost efficiency.
• Prepare production reports and communicate progress and risks to management.

Job description

Create and maintain production schedules to ensure orders are completed on time.

Coordinate with procurement, sales, inventory, and production teams to align schedules with business needs.

Adjust production plans to accommodate demand changes, material shortages, or operational delays.

Ensure production output meets quality standards and required specifications.

Lead, guide, and support the production planning team to achieve departmental goals.

Ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and manpower for scheduled production activities.

Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Track production performance, analyze data, and identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement.

Drive process improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Prepare production reports, communicate progress and risks to management.

Material Planner

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain material planning strategies to ensure uninterrupted production.

Analyze demand forecasts and adjust material plans accordingly to avoid shortages or excess inventory.

Develop and maintain accurate material plans to meet production schedules, ensuring the availability of materials at the right time and in the right quantity.

Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders such as production planners, SQE and procurement team, to ensure timely material availability & requirements.

Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline material storage and distribution.

Identify and resolve material shortages, excess stock, and supply chain bottlenecks.

Generate reports on material status, usage, and planning efficiency for management review.

Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Proven working experience of at least 3 years in material planning or supply chain management.

Language: Fluent in both Chinese and English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
