Qualifications

• Attention to detail and time management.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 is advantageous.

About the role
Supercomal Medical Products Sdn Bhd. is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our manufacturing operations in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our production schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining timely delivery of medical products to our customers. As a Production Planner, you will be at the heart of our operations, bridging the gap between demand forecasting and manufacturing execution whilst supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality medical products.

Key responsibilities

Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels

Coordinating with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure realistic scheduling and resource availability

Monitoring production progress against planned schedules and identifying deviations that require corrective action

Managing inventory levels to balance supply chain efficiency with production requirements and customer demands

Analysing demand patterns and forecasting future production needs to support strategic planning

Preparing and presenting production reports and key performance indicators to senior management

Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components required for production

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation within the planning function

Utilising production planning software and systems to maintain accurate records and generate forecasts

Supporting the resolution of production issues and bottlenecks to minimise delays

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar production planning role within the manufacturing sector, ideally within medical devices or pharmaceutical manufacturing

Strong proficiency in production planning software and systems, including ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or similar

Excellent understanding of supply chain management, demand forecasting, and inventory control principles

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques

Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, quality, and manufacturing

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all scheduling and forecasting activities

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to medical product manufacturing (such as ISO 13485) is advantageous

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
