Job summary

Melexis in Kuching, Malaysia seeks a Planner Buyer to interface with suppliers, translate requirements into orders and track material delivery. You will manage demand for BOM components and monitor inventory and open orders.

You will also handle phase-in/phase-out activities, assist in defining logistics SLAs, and communicate delivery changes while keeping data accurate and up-to-date across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in economics, business administration or engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Strong planning methods: MRP, S&OP, capacity planning.
• Customer focus and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Determine demand related to BOM components at suppliers and monitor inventory and open orders.
• Manage phase-in/phase-out of products with internal partners.
• Prepare and execute SLAs for logistics (stock, price, cycle time, capacity).
• Communicate delivery changes and resolve supply issues with partners.
• Ensure supplier data is up-to-date and available.
• Prepare, analyze and validate FCT cycles; monitor capacity and shortages.

Job description

As a Planner Buyer at Melexis, you will be the interface towards the suppliers/subcontractors,

translating the Melexis requirements into orders and tracing material till delivered.

More precisely, you will

• Determine the demand related to the BOM components at the assigned suppliers and follow up with them the inventory and open orders
• Manage the phase in / phase out of products in production and new products coming from development or business units in cooperation with in-house partners
• Be involved in the preparation and execution of Logistic Service Level Agreement (e.g.: stock, price, cycle time, cost, capacity agreements), according to company supplier strategic road-map
• Communicate delivery changes and resolve supply issues by working with in-house partners and/or suppliers
• Assure logistic data from suppliers/subcontractors are at any time up to date and available
• Prepare, analyze and validate FCT cycles to suppliers. Follow up on capacity challenges and identify possible shortages

Your profile

• Bachelor degree in economics, business administration or engineering or equivalent basedon experience
• Thorough knowledge in supply chain planning methodologies and processes; Basics of
• Master production scheduling; Sales & Operations planning; Material Requirement planning
• Previous experience (2 - 5 years) working with ERP systems, Oracle experience is preferred
• Strong customer service focus to enhance satisfaction
• Strong problem solving and reasoning skills to effectively deal with problems varying in complexity relative to job level
• Able to set long term planning, put priorities and take decisions in case of urgency
• Strong communication skills – to be able to transfer the required information to the relevant person in a timely and proper manner
• Experience in working successfully in teams over multiple sites will be considered as anadvantage
• Fluent in English / Chinese speaking knowledge would be considered as an advantage
