Job summary

NAI COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned Materials Planner to oversee material planning, procurement, and inventory control for OEM production.

The role emphasizes accurate material requirements, collaboration with production and finance, and contingency planning. The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in material planning/purchasing, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in material planning/purchasing for OEM industry with supply management experience.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.
• Strong data analysis ability, project management, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn and work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MRP to ensure smooth production plans.

Job description

This role focuses on material planning, procurement management, and inventory control to ensure the smooth execution of production plans and optimize supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning

Develop and maintain MRP to ensure the smooth execution of production plans.

Analyze sales forecasts and production schedules to accurately calculate material requirements, avoiding both excess inventory and stockouts.

Collaborate closely with production, sales, and finance departments to coordinate material demand and supply.

Develop contingency plans to deal with material shortages in unexpected situations and quickly respond to production needs.

Procurement Management

Manage purchase orders, track delivery progress, and ensure timely delivery.

Inventory Control

Monitor inventory to ensure the accuracy of inventory data.

Optimize inventory structure to reduce inventory costs and improve turnover rates.

Monitor excess and obsolete materials, through reasonable MOQ/LT management to ensure that the inventory turnover of the project controls well.

Generate and analyze material planning and procurement reports regularly to support management decision-making.

Vendor OTDC/OTDR management for meeting target.

Others

Support ad-hoc tasks and assignments as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in material planning/purchasing functions for OEM industry, has experience in supply management is added value.

Good communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.

Strong data analysis ability, project management ability, coordination and problem-solving abilities.

Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills (experience in ERP system is an added advantage).

Detail-oriented with good analytical and organizational skills.

Positive attitude, willing to learn, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
