Job summary

Stratus Automation Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Production Planning professional to coordinate EMS schedules, plan material needs, and work with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.

You will maintain accurate schedules, monitor inventory, and support EMS reviews, with emphasis on meeting delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain support.
• Strong organization and problem-solving abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with EMS processes and production lead times.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EMS production schedules with internal departments, external suppliers, and EMS partners to ensure timely execution of production plans.
• Plan and monitor material requirements based on production forecasts, customer orders, and EMS build schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers and EMS partners to ensure timely material delivery and production readiness.
• Liaise with Procurement, Warehouse, and EMS partners to identify and resolve material shortages, delivery delays, and production constraints.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production schedules to ensure alignment with EMS build plans and delivery commitments.
• Monitor inventory levels and material availability, recommending appropriate actions to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Track EMS production output and monitor delivery performance against established schedules and targets.
• Ensure EMS-related documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and shipping schedules, is accurate and up to date.
• Participate in EMS review meetings, identify operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other EMS planning and coordination duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What You Will Do:

Coordinate EMS production schedules with internal departments, external suppliers, and EMS partners to ensure timely execution of production plans.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.

2 to 5 years of relevant working experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain support.

Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Familiarity with EMS processes, production lead times, and material flow management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Experience with production planning software or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools will be an added advantage.
