Job summary

Stratus Automation Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Quality Management professional to lead ISO 9001 QMS development, maintenance, and audits across the site.

You will guide document control, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate internal and external audits with cross-functional teams.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2+ years in QMS within manufacturing are required; Power Apps/Power Automate knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with strong QA exposure.
• Minimum 2 years in Quality Management Systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001 implementation, maintenance, and auditing.
• Certified Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the QMS to ISO 9001 standards.
• Act as SME and liaison for quality system compliance across the organization.
• Develop, review, and enhance QMS documentation and records.
• Manage document control plant-wide and handle confidentiality.
• Plan and lead internal/process/system audits and coordinate external audits.
• Drive corrective actions and verify effectiveness of improvements.
• Provide guidance on quality requirements to cross-functional teams.
• Prepare Management Review materials and improvement plans.

What You Will Do:

Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Act as the subject matter expert and key liaison for quality system compliance across the organization.

Develop, review, and enhance QMS documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, SOPs, forms, and records to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

Drive and manage the document control function plant-wide, including document confidentiality.

Plan, manage, and lead internal audits, process audits, and system audits; coordinate and facilitate external certification audits and customer audits.

Lead audit preparation activities, drive closure of audit findings, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, root cause investigation, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.

Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on quality system requirements, standards interpretation, and best practices.

Organize and facilitate Management Review Meetings, including preparation of performance metrics, compliance reports, risk assessments, and improvement plans.

Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by management.

What You Will Bring (RequiredQualifications):

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

Possess min of 2 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industry automation or related industries.

Strong hands-on experience ISO 9001 implementation, maintenance, and auditing.

Certified Internal Auditor and/or Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001 is an added advantage.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making capabilities.

Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Proven experience leading external certification audits, customer audits, and regulatory compliance assessments.

Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Power App or Power Automate is an added advantage.
