Job summary

BAC Asia is seeking an HR Manager for its Malaysia plant to lead human resources and implement strategic people initiatives. You will align people strategy with BAC culture, develop policies, and oversee compensation, payroll, and internal communications.

The role requires 7+ years in HR with leadership experience, MBA preferred, and strong knowledge of core HR processes including talent management and organizational development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or similar.
• MBA is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources roles with progressing responsibilities.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR leadership roles and familiarity with core HR functions.
• Proven knowledge of all core HR processes including employee engagement, change management, communications, performance management, training and development, talent management, compensation, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Prior experience providing confidential counselling and coaching to all levels of the organization; exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the Human Resource function and performance aligned to business objectives.
• Foster an innovative, diverse, agile, and empowered culture that enables strategic growth and employer identity.
• Establish credibility as a listener and problem solver with a voice for high performing teams.
• Translate strategic plans into HR strategic and operational plans for the site.
• Develop policies and programs for effective management of plant people resources.
• Manage compensation and benefits strategy and payroll processes for the plant.
• Oversee administration, government relations, and public relations for the plant.
• Develop staffing strategies and support talent acquisition to meet business needs.
• Manage the HR budget and financial impacts at the plant.
• Partner with EHS Manager to embed safety culture and reduce injuries.
• Collaborate to design training programs for all levels of the facility.
