Job summary

Autism Gym Centre in Malaysia is seeking an energetic Occupational Therapist Manager to lead hands-on interventions for children with autism and developmental needs in a clinical therapy setting.

You will deliver individualised therapy programmes, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and families, and drive continuous development of evidence-based practices to support social, communication, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Therapy.
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental delays preferred.
• Expertise implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Comfortable delivering therapy-based intervention programmes rather than academic teaching.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to long-term engagement with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental and functional assessments to identify strengths and needs.
• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group therapy sessions using ABA, play-based therapy, sensory integration, and communication strategies.
• Support children's development in behaviour regulation, communication, motor skills, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, behaviour therapists, and parents for coordinated intervention.
• Track progress, prepare therapy reports, and adjust intervention plans as required.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team discussions to maintain best practices.
