Job summary

CHERY CORPORATE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a Compliance Manager to oversee the company’s data protection and governance programs, ensuring adherence to PDPA, internal policies, and applicable regulations.

You will lead training, manage cross-border data transfers, anti-bribery, and ethics initiatives, while working with risk and IT teams to mitigate compliance risks. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Law (or related field) with at least 5 years in compliance, DPO experience preferred, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and managing compliance programs including PDPA and data governance.
• Experience in PDPA and cross-border data transfer regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and training skills to educate staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PDPA compliance across the organization and ensure PDPA policies are current.
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and DPIAs.
• Lead compliance program across anti-bribery, fraud prevention, and business ethics.
• Deliver PDPA and data compliance training to all departments and monitor effectiveness.
• Assist in addressing regulatory inquiries and investigations related to compliance.
