Job summary

Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Data Privacy professional to support the DPO in developing, implementing and maintaining internal data privacy policies and procedures.

The role monitors regulatory developments in data protection and cybersecurity, conducts privacy impact assessments, and collaborates to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law/Banking/Finance or equivalent field.
• At least 7 years of regulatory compliance experience.
• Knowledge of PDPA 2010 and cybersecurity requirements is a MUST.

Responsibilities

• Support the DPO in developing and maintaining privacy policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory developments in data protection and cybersecurity and assess impact on operations.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and mitigation to improve procedures.
• Develop privacy compliance strategies aligned with data protection and cybersecurity laws.
• Review internal controls related to data privacy to address gaps.
• Review third-party relationships with privacy risk considerations.
• Assist DPO in responding to data subject requests and regulatory inquiries.
• Coordinate investigations on data breaches for reporting to authorities.
• Work with stakeholders to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures for data protection.
• Develop and implement data privacy training for employees, management and directors.
• Provide advisory support on data privacy matters for informed decision making.
