Job summary

Carousell Group is seeking a Regional Personal Data Specialist to support data protection and cybersecurity across markets including Malaysia. You will advise on PDPA and local regulations, conduct DPIAs and risk assessments, and help develop and maintain the Group’s Personal Data Management Plan with cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams to embed privacy into the business and assist with regulatory communications; the role reports to the General

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of data protection laws in operating markets.
• Minimum 2 years experience in personal data support, DPO, or privacy consulting.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM.
• Experience in developing and maintaining a Personal Data Management Plan.

Responsibilities

• Stay informed of relevant laws, regulations and best practices for the Group.
• Provide expert guidance on data protection laws and regulator requirements.
• Conduct DPIAs and data protection risk assessments to mitigate risks.
• Develop, implement and maintain the Group’s PD management policies and training.
• Support incident response for data breaches and security incidents.
