Job summary

BROOKS AUTOMATION MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our team developing robot and automation system controls solutions.

You will create and maintain PCB layouts using Altium Designer, translate schematics into manufacturable designs, and collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to deliver complete product solutions within global projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PCB layout experience (3–5 years) required.
• Strong expertise in Altium Designer and Gerber viewing tools.
• Familiarity with IPC standards IPC-2221, IPC-7351.
• Ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Interpret schematics and convert them into manufacturable PCB designs.
• Develop multilayer PCB designs considering SI/PI, thermal, EMI/EMC and manufacturability.
• Perform component placement, routing, fan-out, copper pours and design optimization.
• Generate fabrication/assembly drawings, Gerber files and manufacturing documentation.
• Define PCB layer stack-ups with fabrication vendors.
