Job summary

Micro Modular System Sdn Bhd (MMS) is seeking an automation engineer to design, build, and commission advanced automation systems for LED and semiconductor projects in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will design electrical and control systems for prototype projects and prepare schematic drawings and control panel designs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation/Robotics or equivalent, knowledge of industrial robots and servo tuning, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation/Robotics, or equivalent.
• Knowledge in industrial robots, SCARA systems, and servo motor tuning.
• Strong interest in automation and machine design.
• Proficiency in English; additional language Mandarin helpful for some projects.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical and control systems for prototype projects.
• Prepare electrical schematic drawings and control panel designs.
• Develop I/O lists, hardware lists, and perform power calculations.
• Select components focusing on cost, performance and reliability.
• Integrate SCARA robots, 6-axis robots, cobots, vision systems, and laser marking systems.
• Perform servo motor selection, motion tuning, and performance optimization.
• Configure, program, and maintain various controllers.
• Lead and manage projects (for senior roles).
• Troubleshoot wiring and functional issues throughout project lifecycle.
• Provide machine training to customers when required.
