Job summary

Brooks Automation in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Designer/CAD Drafter to support mechanical design and documentation. You will create and detail 3D models and 2D drawings, apply GD&T, generate exploded views and BOMs, and release documentation through Agile PLM.

The role requires collaboration with engineers and cross-functional teams, with onsite work at Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CAD experience, proficiency in Creo Parametric (SolidWorks acceptable),

Qualifications

5+ years of CAD drafting experience in mechanical design.
Proficient in Creo Parametric; SolidWorks acceptable.
Strong GD&T knowledge and drafting standards.
Experience creating detailed part and complex assembly drawings.
Familiar with Agile PLM lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
Apply GD&T per ASME Y14 standards.
Generate assembly drawings, exploded views, and BOMs.
Prepare drawing packages for manufacturing, inspection, and assembly.
Document, revise, and release drawings and related files in Agile PLM.
Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and ECOs.
Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal drafting standards.
