Job summary

RecruitFirst in Malaysia is seeking an experienced payroll professional on a contract basis to manage end-to-end payroll processing for APAC operations, ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance.

You will maintain data integrity, handle time and attendance, and partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to optimize payroll workflows. The role requires 3–5 years of payroll experience, SAP HR exposure, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant payroll experience
• Experience with SAP HR/SAP HCM and time & attendance systems is preferred.
• Good knowledge of payroll, statutory requirements, taxation, and employment legislation.
• Strong Excel, analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in payroll vendor management and audit support is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain payroll and HR data integrity and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
• Manage time and attendance processes, including work schedules, shifts, public holidays, and system configurations.
• Provide payroll and compensation data through SAP HR to support salary reviews and HR reporting.
• Support payroll taxation, statutory compliance, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and internal/external audits.
• Manage payroll vendors, including onboarding, contract management, performance monitoring, and invoice processing.
• Work closely with HR, Finance, Compensation & Benefits, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to payroll and HR processes.
