Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd is recruiting for a Head of HR to lead payroll, benefits and HRIS for a global apparel client in Malaysia. The role requires steering HR strategy with the HR Director and liaising with management on compensation, benefits and adherence to employment regulations.

The successful candidate will manage a payroll team, ensure timely HR processes, and advise on changes in employment law while driving HR best practices across retail operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years working experience in overall HR management with strong knowledge of Employment Act & Payroll.
• Retail & FMCG HR experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience expatriate management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and accurate payroll, including annual cycles, and review payments for accuracy.
• Lead HR Services team to manage HR processes and systems to meet timelines.
• Coordinate with store operations, department managers and external vendors/regulators as needed.
• Advise Management on Employment Act changes and HR best practices; represent the company in official meetings/audits.
