Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a payroll professional to manage employee payroll and compensation processes, ensuring accurate time sheets, hours, deductions and tax compliance. You will handle payroll software to prepare checks and reports, and respond to employee inquiries on compensation and benefits.

The role involves data entry for new hires and supporting management with payroll-related tasks, under the direction of the General Manager. This is a full-time position based in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll, compensation & benefits, HR or a similar role.
• Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process daily, weekly and monthly employee time sheets.
• Calculate working hours, benefits and deductions.
• Prepare employee compensation checks using payroll software and ensure tax compliance.
• Schedule electronic payments and distribute physical paychecks.
• Generate and maintain payroll reports for management.
• Address employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits and deductions.
• Enter new employee data into the company database.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
