Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Payroll Associate (APAC) in Kuala Lumpur to support end-to-end payroll operations across regional APAC entities, focusing on statutory compliance and payroll data management.

The role involves handling multi-country payrolls, maintaining payroll master data, and assisting with GL postings and year-end reporting, reporting to the Payroll Manager within the APAC Corporate team.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in full-function APAC payroll processing.
  • Good operational understanding of Australian statutory payroll requirements (Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax) and basic accounting/GL principles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data management) and enterprise payroll/accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills with a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Process assigned multi-country APAC payrolls accurately and on time in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and update the payroll master file, including new joiners, salary adjustments, leave calculations, allowances, and offboarding payouts.
  • Assist with timesheet imports, General Ledger (GL) posting for payroll costs, and payroll account reconciliations.
  • Support statutory compliance requirements, including Australian Superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG, and year-end reporting activities.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries professionally and maintain accurate payroll records.
