Job summary

Pismo Research (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an IP professional to support global patent prosecution and trademark filings, collaborating with Peplink teams to protect innovations. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will draft claims, perform prior art searches, and manage office actions.

The role requires a bachelor degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years’ experience, with strong English communication and a proactive approach to IP strategy across international offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• 3-5 years’ working experience preferable, in IP or engineering fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist in our global patent prosecution/trademark applications.
• Collaborate with in-house engineers for patent mining and prior art research.
• Perform freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches and analysis.
• Draft patent claims and specification documents for submission at Patent Offices.
• Handle office actions for patent applications.
• Maintain and monitor filing and payment deadlines.
• Assist in ad-hoc assignments.
