Job summary

GAYA CENTRE HOTEL in Sabah invites a dedicated kitchen assistant to support the chef in preparing high quality pastries and desserts, decorating plates, and ensuring presentations meet guests' expectations and hotel standards.

You will help maintain hygiene and safe practices, monitor stock and costs, receive deliveries, and assist with administrative duties as required by management.

Qualifications

• Assist the Hotel's chef(s) in pastry and dessert preparation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
• Follow kitchen instructions and management directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing high quality pastries and desserts and decorates food.
• Ensure production, preparation and presentation meet guests' expectations and hotel standards.
• Maintain hygienic, efficient and safe kitchen operations; control food stock and costs.
• Receive deliveries, verify quantities and quality; take inventory of supplies and notify supervisor of low items.
• Assist with administrative/operational duties as required by management.
