Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast invites a talented Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team within the Culinary Department. You will oversee all pastry, bakery, dessert, and confectionery production, ensuring high standards, consistency, and innovation aligned with our luxury hotel concept.

Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus, manage costs, mentor colleagues, and ensure HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 4–6 years of pastry and bakery experience in luxury settings.
• Experience leading a pastry team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pastry production, bakery, desserts, and confectionery.
• Ensure recipes meet standards and cost targets.
• Lead and develop the pastry team and collaborate with Executive Chef.
• Maintain HACCP compliance and high cleanliness.
• Support events with customized pastry requirements.
