Job summary

Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Chef de Partie - Pastry to assist in the efficient operation of the Pastry Department in line with Hyatt's standards. You will oversee the preparation, production, and presentation of a wide range of pastries and desserts, ensuring top quality and creativity for our guests.

In this role you will support the pastry kitchen, maintain food safety, and contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences while managing multiple tasks under pressure.

Qualifications

• Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open to Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
• Ideally with an apprenticeship or professional diploma/degree in Culinary Arts or Patisserie.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as Chef de Partie - Pastry or 3 years as Demi Chef - Pastry in international hotels or F&B establishments are preferred.
• Proven experience in preparing and presenting a wide range of pastries and desserts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the efficient operation of the Pastry Department in line with Hyatt's strategies and brand standards.
• Oversee preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Ensure highest quality, consistency, and creativity in pastries.
• Support day-to-day pastry kitchen operations and workflow.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards across the department.
• Contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
