Job summary

This role manages spare parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, organizing storage, and supporting workshop services with timely parts.

The successful candidate will maintain records, coordinate with suppliers, and participate in 5S compliant store operations in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in automotive spare parts/inventory
• Basic computer knowledge (inventory system / Excel)
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills
• Team player, detail-oriented
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Manage spare parts inventory with regular stock checks and cycle counts
• Maintain accurate stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock
• Organize, label, and store spare parts for easy retrieval
• Update and maintain inventory records in the system
• Prepare and issue picking lists for mechanics
• Ensure proper documentation for parts issuance and returns
• Prepare purchase orders based on workshop needs
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of parts
• Support workshop by sourcing urgent parts and preparing for services
• Maintain store cleanliness and follow safety 5S practices

Operation hours

9 am to 6 pm (Monday-Friday)

9 am to 1 pm (Saturday)

Responsibilities

• Manage spare parts inventory by performing regular stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Maintain accurate stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Organize, label, and store spare parts properly for easy identification and retrieval.
• Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
• Prepare and issue picking lists for spare parts requested by mechanics.
• Ensure proper documentation and records for parts issuance and returns.
• Prepare purchase orders based on workshop requirements and inventory needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and follow up on outstanding orders.
• Support workshop operations by preparing parts for scheduled service jobs and sourcing urgent parts when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area while following safety procedures and 5S practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Preferably 1 - 2 years of experience in automotive spare parts, inventory and storekeeping
• Basic computer knowledge (inventory system / Excel)
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team
• Experience in automotive service centre or spare parts environment will be an advantage
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
