Job summary

TAN CHONG EKSPRES AUTO SERVIS SDN BHD is seeking a Parts Adviser to manage spare parts inventory in Bayan Lepas, Penang, and support the workshop team. You will ensure accurate stock records, reorder parts, and keep the stores area neat for smooth operations.

The role requires a relevant engineering qualification and prior experience in automotive parts support; knowledge of body & paint is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• At least a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) or equivalent.
• Preferably Executives specializing in Parts Support in Automotive industry.
• Knowledge in Body & Paint will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date records of stock movements to ensure optimum stock levels.
• Carry out stock checks to ensure adequate supplies and tallied stock records.
• Reorder stock as required to maintain optimum levels.
• Receive replacement stocks and verify quantity and specification.
• Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient stores environment.
• Prepare relevant reports.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the company.

Carry out stock checks to ensure that adequate supplies are maintained and physical and stock record are tallied;

Reorder stock as required to ensure that the optimum levels of stock are maintained;

Receive replacement stocks, ensure that these are correct in terms of number and specification;

Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient stores environment;

Prepare relevant reports;

Any ad hoc duties and tasks assigned by the company.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) or equivalent;
