Job summary

A'rest Cafe in Malaysia is seeking a friendly team member to deliver warm service, take orders, and assist with beverage preparation. You will work with a diverse team, handle payments, and maintain clean dining areas to ensure a smooth operation.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, managing the POS system, and adhering to food safety standards while communicating effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, service counters, and restrooms to uphold hygiene standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
• Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
• Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts, demonstrating a strong work ethic.

• Accurately take customer orders, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
• Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, providing correct change and receipts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including dining areas, service counters, and back-of-house stations, following all health and safety regulations.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as wiping tables, sweeping floors, and sanitizing equipment to ensure a hygienic and pleasant atmosphere for guests.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to manage workflow, ensure timely order fulfillment, and provide exceptional customer service during peak hours.
• Restock supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, sugar, and disposables, to ensure availability and prevent service interruptions.
