Job summary

Fromage Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Part-Time Store Operations & Customer Experience Lead to help run the store day to day and set service standards from the start, at Bangsar Shopping Center.

This hands-on role covers POS operations, product explanations and recommendations, stock handling and delivering a consistently high level of customer service; weekend work is required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, F&B, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
• Good communication in English; Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin/Tamil a plus.

Part-Time Customer Service Representative

Fromage is a new specialty food and cheese store at Bangsar Shopping Center in Kuala Lumpur.

The shop is designed as a high-quality retail experience, not a supermarket counter:

• curated products
• strong attention to presentation
• focus on service and customer interaction

We are building a small team that will run the store day to day and set the standard from the start.

The Role

As Store Operations & Customer Experience Lead, you will play a key role in:

• daily store operations
• customer service standards
• execution on the shop floor

This is a hands-on role with responsibility, suited for someone who wants to strengthen their experience in retail operations and customer-facing roles.

Job Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience in retail, F&B, hospitality, or customer-facing roles
• Comfortable taking responsibility on the shop floor
• Good communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or Tamil is a plus)
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and organised
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends
• Cheese or specialty food knowledge is not required, training will be provided.

• Operate POS and handle payments
• Prepare, slice, pack and label products correctly
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance
• Maintain visual standards of the shop and displays

Daily Execution & Ownership

• Support opening and closing procedures
• Assist with stock receiving and basic inventory tracking
• Identify and report operational issues
• Follow and help improve store procedures (SOPs)
