Job summary

EVERLASTING BASE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Costing & Account Executive for a part-time role in Melaka.

You will manage cost accounting operations, analyse costs, maintain records, and provide financial insights to guide decisions. The role offers flexible part-time hours while contributing to the finance function. Ideal candidates have a qualification in accounting/finance and experience in cost/management accounting, with strong Excel and accounting software skills.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (SPM, Diploma or Degree level).
• Experience in cost accounting, management accounting or general accounting roles.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and track production costs, labour costs, and overhead expenses to support cost management objectives.
• Prepare and maintain cost accounting records and documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Support the preparation of cost reports and variance analyses for management review.
• Maintain and update cost allocation schedules and cost centre records.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing procedures.
• Process invoices, receipts and other financial documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support the finance team with general accounting tasks and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
• Ensure all costing and accounting activities comply with company procedures and relevant regulations.
