Job summary

Wayrex Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage the company’s full set of accounts and support day-to-day financial operations. You will oversee GL, AP, AR, and inventory costing, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensure timely financial reporting.

The role requires accurate data handling, liaison with auditors and tax agents, and collaboration with internal departments on budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.

Qualifications

• LCCI Higher / Diploma / Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in trading or distribution.
• Proficient in full set accounting, GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set accounts (GL, AP, AR) and ensure accurate records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow.
• Monitor inventory movements and product costing for trading activities.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, vendors and internal teams on financial matters.
• Prepare audit schedules for year-end audits.
• Mentor junior accounts staff as needed.
• Provide insights to support management decisions.
• Support management with other duties as required.
