About the role

South Island Garment Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Paper Pattern Maker to join our dynamic team in Seberang Perai, Penang. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the development of our state-of-the-art garment manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and develop paper patterns based on garment designs and specifications.
• Take and check measurements to ensure pattern accuracy and consistency.
• Modify and adjust patterns according to fitting requirements and design changes.
• Create patterns for different garment styles, sizes, and production requirements.
• Conduct fitting checks and make necessary corrections to improve garment fit.
• Work closely with the design, sampling, and production teams to resolve pattern-related issues.

About you

• Certificate or diploma in fashion design, or a related field; relevant experience may also be considered
• Preferably at least two years of experience in paper pattern making
• Familiarity with relevant paper pattern making software
• Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and basic computer skills
• Careful attention to detail and ability to work to production deadlines
