Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to oversee sampling and testing of crude palm oil and related products at jetty operations. You will verify cargo quality during vessel loading/unloading and monitor storage and handling to prevent contamination.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field and 2–5 years in quality control or laboratories within palm oil plants, with knowledge of ISO standards and MPOB/PORAM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Applied Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of quality control or lab experience in palm oil/oleochemical plants.
• Experience in cargo inspection or marine terminal operations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with MPOB, PORAM, and international edible oil standards.
• Ability to interpret laboratory test results and quality reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and testing of CPO and related products at jetty operations.
• Verify product quality during vessel loading, unloading, and inter-tank transfers.
• Monitor cargo quality during storage and handling processes.
• Conduct pre-loading and pre-discharge quality inspections.
• Ensure proper handling to prevent contamination and deterioration.
• Coordinate with terminal operators, surveyors, and shipping agents on quality matters.
• Monitor storage tank conditions and cleanliness before transfers.
• Maintain quality records and traceability documentation.
• Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
