Job summary

BPlant, a long established upstream palm oil plantation company in Malaysia, seeks an eager Mill Assistant to support daily mill operations and maintenance, ensuring production stays within quality limits and costs are kept in check.

You will learn all aspects of palm oil mill operation through hands-on training, assist in safety activities, and complete assigned tasks. Fresh graduates welcome; willingness to relocate nationwide and work in remote areas is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred in palm oil or related field.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mill Manager in day to day palm oil mill operation.
• Learn all aspects of mill operation through training and hands-on learning.
• Execute/complete work related to special tasks or assignments.
• Involve in OCCUPATIONAL Safety and Health activities and other company events.

Job description

To assist Mill Manager in performing day to day mill's operation and maintenance including ensuring products that being produced are within quality limit, efficient and with minimum cost.

Key roles and responsibilities: -

• To assist Mill Manager in day to day palm oil mill operation.
• To learn all aspects of mill operation through training program and hands on training.
• To execute/complete the work related special task or assignment given.
• Involve in organization of Occupational Safety and Health related activities and other event set by the Company.

Requirements: -

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering and/or relevant professional qualification or another equivalent field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience preferably in palm oil mill or other relevant field. Experience in agricultural industry and relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• A fast learner, willing to learn and work under minimum supervision.
• Proficient with computer, including document processing software.(e.g. Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in remote area.
• Willingness to relocate across Malaysia (Peninsular, Sabah & Sarawak).
• Good physical fitness.
• Possess own transport.
• Goal-oriented and a team player.
• Strong time management, planning and organization skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with mid-level management and other staff members.
