Job Summary

You will help mix and prepare paint colors. You will follow the color formulas given by the color matcher. Your job is to measure, dispense, and mix colorants and binders carefully so the final paint matches the color matcher's formula exactly.

Key Responsibilities

Colorant Dispensing and Mixing

• Dispense colorants, binders, and other materials based on the color formulas given by the color matcher
• Mix the dispensed colorants and binders until the color is fully blended.
• Check that the final mix matches the ratio stated in the formula.

Material and Equipment Handling

• Keep track of colorants, tools, and other materials needed for dispensing and mixing.
• Learn how to use all related equipment properly.
• Help keep the dispensing equipment clean, calibrated, and in good working order.

Quality Checks

• Check that each batch is mixed properly and matches the formula given.
• Tell the color matcher right away if a batch does not look right or does not match.

Recording Work

• Keep simple, accurate records of what was dispensed and mixed for each batch.
• Let the color matcher or supervisor know if there are any changes or issues during mixing.
• Understand why accurate records matter for keeping colors consistent.

Working with Others

• Work closely with color matchers to understand and follow their formulas correctly.
• Communicate with production and other teams to keep work running smoothly.
• Ask questions when a formula or instruction is unclear, rather than guessing.
