Job summary

Avient in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a laboratory associate to perform color matching, testing, and QC before dispatch. You will assist with sample preparation, document control, and evaluation of new materials, while maintaining color folders and preparing color chips for color work.

The role requires a diploma/degree in science or engineering, basic computer and business English skills, and a good color sense.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Higher secondary education with work experiences and demonstrated competences.
• 2 years working experience in injection and extrusion molding would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of computer usage (MS Office) and business English.
• Good color sense and color knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform color matching / application operation and testing in the laboratory.
• QC sample before dispatching out to customer.
• Assist in preparing samples for customers and documentation for sample dispatch.
• Maintain the storage of color matching folder.
• Assist in evaluating new raw materials.
• Prepare color chips for color works.
• Support QC activities when necessary.
• Provide ideas for continuous improvement of the company.
