Jora Malaysia is seeking a packaging engineer to lead the development and optimization of packaging for electronics products. You will design packaging for cartons, blister packs, foams and turnover containers, and generate 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, SOPs and labeling specs.
You will plan reliability tests (drop, vibration, temperature/humidity) and drive root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams to reduce non-conformities and costs.

Take charge of the development of packaging solutions for new products, and complete the internal and external packaging design for finished products, semi-finished products and components, including the structural design and sampling confirmation of cartons, blister packs, EPE foam, anti-static turnover containers, pallets, cushioning materials and other related items.
Formulate packaging specifications, packaging BOMs, packaging operation SOPs and labeling specifications, and output 2D/3D drawings and inspection standards.
Plan and follow up packaging reliability tests, including transportation simulation tests such as drop test, vibration test, stacking test, temperature & humidity cycle test, and lead the improvement of non-conformities.
Handle issues such as shipping packaging damages, customer packaging complaints and incoming material packaging abnormalities, analyze the root causes and promote the implementation of improvement countermeasures.
Evaluate the cost of packaging materials, continuously optimize packaging structures, reduce the packing volume, improve container loading rate, and implement cost reduction plans.
Liaise with packaging suppliers to conduct sample evaluation, technical communication and new material introduction, and follow up the delivery lead time and quality of materials.
Be familiar with domestic and overseas shipping requirements, manage anti-static, moisture-proof, fumigation and environmental protection regulations (RoHS, recyclability requirements, etc.) to meet the specifications of customers and logistics parties.
Collaborate with R&D, IE, Quality, Warehouse and Procurement departments to optimize in-plant turnover packaging and improve the packaging operation efficiency of production lines.
Associate degree or above, with a priority given to majors in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fields; at least 2 years of working experience in packaging engineering in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Be capable of using CAD to draw packaging drawings; proficiency in 3D software such as SolidWorks/UG is a plus; understand the properties of various cushioning materials.
Be familiar with transportation packaging testing standards (ISTA is preferred) and have practical experience in packaging failure analysis.
Understand relevant requirements for anti-static, moisture-proof and export sea freight packaging.
Possess cost awareness, excellent communication and coordination skills, and be able to independently lead the promotion of projects.
