Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Packaging Design Engineer to support packaging engineering initiatives from concept to production. You will collaborate with act managers and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth implementation of packaging designs and provide guidance during production.

You will analyze drawings and specifications to determine materials, troubleshoot packaging issues, and help enhance design efficiency. The role includes training junior engineers on workflow and design best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in packaging design, product packaging development or manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of packaging materials such as corrugated cartons, foam, labels and protective packaging.
• Strong problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
• Familiar with AutoCAD. Understanding of packaging testing standards and validation processes.
• At least 4 years of working experience in related field.

Responsible for supporting packaging engineering initiatives and processes from concept to production stages.

Work closely with act managers & manufacturing teams to ensure smooth implementation of packaging designs, provide guidance and support during the production process.

Analyze drawings and specifications of products to determine physical characteristics of items and types of materials required for packaging.

Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials, and processes to enhance packaging designs and optimize production efficiency.

Train and guide Junior Packaging Design Engineer in term of process working flow and design.

Job Requirements
