Role Description The Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer – Packaging & Filling Systems is a part-time, role based in Shah Alam. This role focuses on designing and developing mechanical systems for packaging and filling equipment, including concept development, detailed design, and optimization for manufacturability and reliability. Daily responsibilities include creating and revising 3D models and engineering drawings, performing basic calculations and design validations, and collaborating with electrical, controls, and automation engineers to ensure seamless system integration. The engineer will work closely with project and production teams to support installation, testing, and commissioning activities, and to resolve design issues during fabrication and on-site implementation. The role also involves communicating with internal stakeholders and customers to clarify requirements, provide technical input, and ensure that solutions meet performance, safety, and industry standards.
