Job summary

Ascentec Engineering Malaysia is a world class CNC manufacturing facility located in Batu Kawan, Penang. This role focuses on coordinating outsourcing activities, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure continuous production and meet customer demand.

The successful candidate will work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams and must have strong Excel skills to analyze data and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years purchasing experience, preferably in outsourced services.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, xlookup, index-match, and data cleaning.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outsourcing activities to ensure capacity availability and production continuity.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
• Monitor subcontractor performance in quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support operational and strategic objectives.
• Resolve supply issues, shortages, and delivery delays.
• Supplier performance reviews and corrective action follow-up.
• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support customer demand.

Requirements
