Job summary

RBC Shared Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an Analyst to join the OTC Derivatives Settlements Operations team on a 12 month contract. You will manage settlement processes for Rates & Credit Derivative transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling full settlement lifecycle, processing payments in Murex, pre-confirmations with clients, resolving cash breaks, and driving process improvements with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage full settlement lifecycle of OTC Credit and Rates Derivative products across bilateral and cleared trades.
• Process OTC Derivative payments and settlements in Murex with attention to detail.
• Pre-confirm large cashflows with clients to ensure payment terms accuracy.
• Identify and resolve cash breaks through investigation and liaise with Front Office and Middle Office partners.
• Expand knowledge of OTC Derivatives to serve as a strong partner for stakeholders.
• Adhere to controls to minimize errors and escalate issues when needed.
• Manage deadlines across multiple currencies and obligations in a fast-paced environment.
• Explore process improvements using AI to automate manual tasks.
