Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada Malaysia is seeking an Operations professional to provide settlement and clearing support across cash equities, FX, fixed income and Treasury services for global trading desks in multiple time zones. Working hours align with Australian market times.

You will ensure end-of-day checks, manage discrepancies, process transactions in systems like RITS, SWIFT and Gloss, and contribute to process improvements while coordinating with Front Office and Global Operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of operations experience.
• Strong working knowledge in SWIFT, Real Time Payment Systems and markets.
• Experience in Front to Back Business & Operational Support.
• Adherence to procedures and control processes.
• Ability to complete ad-hoc tasks and project deliverables by deadlines.
• Flexibile and adaptable to different work situations.
• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to recognise operational risk events and mitigate them.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience liaising with global offices and time zones, and work shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Support all daily business and client services for Settlement & Clearing Team.
• Resolve payments, receipts and trade processing discrepancies with clients or counterparties.
• Ensure transactions follow bank rules, circulars and procedures.
• Complete daily processing and settlement tasks accurately per policy.
• Conduct end-of-day checks and address outstanding issues the same day.
• Handle input/processing on settlement systems (RITS, Euroclear, Gloss, Exigo, NZ Clear, SWIFT, Clarity, RIMMS, CLS).
• Provide relief support and other duties across teams.
• Maintain communication with Front Office and Global Operations and external clearing exchanges.
• Support sales teams and client liaison, update desk procedures and daily checklists.
• Prepare monthly attestation PEGA, KPI/KRI reports; quarterly BRAG, RCAP.
