Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring for an optics technician to cut, edge, and assemble lenses according to prescriptions. You will operate multiple optical processing machines and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and clarity.

The role requires precise hands-on work, attention to detail, and the ability to follow SOPs in a shift-based environment. Diploma or degree in optics-related fields is preferred, with fresh graduates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in optics, optometry, optical science, vision care, healthcare or science-related disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in handling lenses.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Cut, edge, and fit optical lenses according to prescriptions and frame specs.
• Assemble lenses for full-frame, semi-rimless, and rimless eyewear.
• Operate optical processing equipment (tracers, blockers, edgers, drilling machines, grooving machines).
• Perform quality inspections to ensure lens accuracy and optical clarity.
• Identify and report defects; maintain high quality standards.
• Record production and quality results accurately.
• Support basic machine maintenance and equipment upkeep.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Company overview : Optics, optoelectronics, and precision engineering

Working Location : Axis Business Campus, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM) & Saturday: Half Day

Employment Type : Contract with PERSOL for 3 + 3 months (extension or conversion subject to performance)

Remuneration : RM2,300 to RM2,800 with statutory contribution & leave entitlement

What You'll Be Doing

Cut, edge, and fit optical lenses according to customer prescriptions and frame specifications

Assemble lenses for full-frame, semi-rimless, and rimless eyewear

Operate optical processing equipment including tracers, blockers, edgers, drilling machines, and grooving machines

Perform quality inspections to ensure lens accuracy and optical clarity

Identify and report defects while maintaining high quality standards

Record production and quality results accurately

Support basic machine maintenance and equipment upkeep

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Who Should Apply?
