OasisEye Specialists Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru invites a passionate Optometrist to join our modern, patient-focused practice. You will perform refractions, ophthalmic assessments, and prescribe spectacles and contact lenses while upholding safety and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry (recognised qualification).
• Possesses a valid APC from the Malaysian Medical Council.
• Experience in a clinical or optometric setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out optometrist duties: refraction, basic ophthalmic history and examination, and ophthalmic investigations.
• Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses.
• Ensure high safety and ethical practice standards.
• Maintain excellent patient care and a feedback mechanism.
• Organise and maintain confidential health information.
• Assist with outreach activities and marketing as needed.
• Support brand and communications content and engage with clients.

Job Description:

To carry out the functions of an optometrist (refraction, basic ophthalmic history and examination, perform ophthalmic investigations, prescription of spectacles and contact lenses).

To ensure high safety and ethical practice standards.

Maintain excellent patient care and a feedback mechanism.

Organise, file, and maintain health information in a confidential manner.

Explore business opportunities and plan marketing activities to engage with both corporate and non-corporate clients.

To enhance brand and communication strategies by ensuring content for internal and external communications (including media relations, social media promotion, and health screening events), and meet the company's corporate identity.

To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities (e.g., conduct eye screening work and give eye care talks, meet GPs/optometrists) of the centre as the need arises.

Assisting colleagues and performing any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director or management.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry (recognised qualification).

Possesses a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) from the Malaysian Medical Council.

Experience: Prior experience in a clinical or optometric setting is highly desirable.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for this role.

Teamwork: The ability to collaborate effectively within a team-based environment is crucial. Self-motivated, a team player, results-oriented, honest, and punctual.

Willingness to assist with outreach activities and administrative tasks is expected. Pleasant and courteous in dealing with patients, doctors, and colleagues.
