EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Optometrist for our retail stores in Malaysia. You will provide professional consultations, perform thorough eye examinations, and assist customers with fitting eyewear and contact lenses. This role emphasizes meeting sales targets while ensuring high-quality eye care.

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Optometry and be registered with the Malaysia Optical Council. Fresh graduates are welcome and English/Bahasa Malaysia are required.

Job descriptions

To provide professional consultation to customers.

To achieve monthly personal sales targets.

To ensure the accuracy of refraction skills.

Help customers with fitting glasses or contact lenses, after obtaining prescriptions from optometrists.

To solve customers' complaints wisely.

Advise customers on the styles and characteristics of eyewear to best suit their needs.

Perform thorough routine eye inspections.

Identify the patient’s visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination.

Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness.

Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.

Promote eye health by teaching customers about proper eye care techniques.

Job Requirements

Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, bachelor's degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Optometry or equivalent.

Optometrists/Opticians must be registered with the Malaysia Optical Council.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Having work experience is a great advantage.

Fresh graduates are welcome to join.
