Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an Optical Equipment Engineer to manage SPI, AOI, and AXI across the factory. You will develop operation, maintenance and repair procedures for all inspection equipment.

You will review programs, optimize inspection processes to reduce false calls, lead troubleshooting, calibrate equipment, and coordinate with Quality and customers on audits. Diploma or higher in Mechatronics/Electronics and 3+ years' experience required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering.
• 3+ years as Optical Equipment Engineer in server PCBA manufacturing or electronics.
• Strong knowledge of SPI, SMT/DIP AOI, AXI, programming, setup, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 standards.
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English, with ability to communicate technical requirements with customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical management of all optical inspection equipment (SPI, AOI, AXI) across the factory, including operation, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Review, optimize and standardize inspection programs; monitor false call and escape rates across production lines.
• Lead troubleshooting of major equipment failures, calibration, and performance optimization; manage new equipment introduction, selection, installation and acceptance.
• Develop optical inspection standards and SOPs; conduct technical training for optical technicians.
• Work with Quality Department and customers to optimize inspection solutions and support audits.
• Optimize inspection processes to improve efficiency and reduce false calls.
