Job summary

Teleplan Technology Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee production operations, driving lean production and TPM initiatives to ensure quality, yield, and on-time delivery. The role emphasizes cost control, capacity planning, and cross-functional coordination.

You will develop and manage budgets, implement SOPs, monitor KPIs, and mentor staff to foster discipline and teamwork while pursuing continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate internal communication between functional group.
• Provide a safe and conductive working environment with discipline and teamwork.
• Provide OTD and minimize cost of production through lean management and yield improvement.
• Train and develop subordinates.
• Perform WIP management meeting customer/company inventory KPI.
• Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specification are consistent.
• Responsible for all aspects of the budget for the Operations group; including capital and expense planning, managing the monthly forecast, and cost reductions as necessary.
• Develops, maintains, and improves metrics monitoring performance and attainment of key goals and objectives.
• To ensure smooth execution of production operations in meeting quality, yield, outputs, cycle time, and budget goals.
• Ensure the implementation of effective standard operating procedures (SOP) and monitor the compliances of policies and procedures within the company.
• Establish effective and timely communication network and practices between counterparts, customers, and suppliers.
• Drive and lead LEAN Production and TPM deployment and continues improvement programs.
• Participate in management development, staff development effort to ensure job enrichment and growth.
• To role model good safety behaviors, discipline, and teamwork
• To provide on time delivery of defect free and reliable products.
• To minimize cost of product production through reducing wastage and improving yields.
• To ensure products are built to specifications.
• To ensure capacity/headcount and material are planned according to the needs.
• Manage overtime (only perform when required).
• Occasionally maybe assigned job that is out of JD for individual skill development/advancement opportunity.
