Job summary

Randstad Malaysia in Penang is seeking a senior leader to direct end-to-end site manufacturing functions, driving efficiency and target production output in a regulated food manufacturing environment.

The role ensures Halal governance, food safety, QA compliance, and oversees warehousing and supply chain workflows. You will champion continuous improvement and planned maintenance to boost machinery availability while maintaining strict EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or an equivalent technical field.
• Strong working knowledge of Halal standards, global food hygiene certifications, and industrial statutory safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead daily manufacturing, processing, and packaging operations to attain target production volumes, minimise downtime, and drive line efficiency.
• Oversee comprehensive food safety, quality assurance, and Halal governance protocols to ensure rigorous statutory and audit compliance across the facility.
• Coordinate cross-functional warehousing and supply chain workflows to maintain balanced stock levels, enhance inventory turnover, and ensure on-time product distribution.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and planned plant maintenance regimes to increase machinery availability and optimise overall operational cost per unit.
• Direct environmental, health, and site safety frameworks to maintain a secure, compliant manufacturing environment with zero harm.
