Job summary

Zohorecruit's client in Semenyih, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Operations Executive / Assistant Operations Manager to lead factory floor operations for nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. You will establish SOPs, drive daily rhythms, and manage cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Maintenance.

Reporting to the MD/ED, you will oversee NPRA GMP, Halal, and ISO audits, while coordinating with Purchasing, R&D, and HR for plant commissioning and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive operations or production leadership in health/nutraceutical/pharma.
• Experience supervising production staff and facilitating audits.

Responsibilities

• Establish operating structure and SOPs across production lines and areas.
• Lead daily stand-ups and manage shopfloor boards and hand-overs.
• Coach and evaluate Production Executives, line supervisors, and staff.
• Act as floor decision-maker to resolve bottlenecks and imbalances.
• Translate demand into weekly/monthly production schedules and lines.
• Track yield, waste, downtime, and optimize downtime planning.
• Ensure NPRA GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, Halal readiness and audits.
• Oversee warehouse, maintenance, and facility utilities oversight.
• Spearhead commissioning of the new plant and cost governance.
