Loaf & Latté is an artisan bakery café at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus. We bake fresh daily, serve quality café favourites, and collaborate with Taylor’s Culinary School to provide real‑world learning opportunities for students.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help strengthen our systems, grow our team, and prepare us for future expansion.

What You’ll Do
Operations & Team Leadership

Oversee the daily operations of both FOH café and BOH bakery (9–12 staff).

Lead, train, and develop a highly capable team.

Supervise the Head Chef and Café Lead.

System & SOP Development

Build and implement SOPs, workflows, checklists, and training guides.

Improve shift flow, communication, and daily operations.

Work with Taylor’s Culinary School to coordinate interns and maintain a structured teaching kitchen environment.

Ensure safe, organized, and efficient dual‑use (teaching + commercial) operations.

Production & Bakery Oversight

Support bakery production planning, forecasting, and workflow efficiency.

Monitor quality, consistency, and output.

Oversee ordering, stock levels, wastage, and cost control.

Track ingredient cost %, wastage %, and production efficiency.

Quality & Guest Experience

Maintain high food, service, and hygiene standards.

Ensure brand consistency and customer satisfaction.

Expansion Readiness

Develop scalable systems for future outlets.

Help prepare expansion frameworks and operational standards.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years in F&B operations management (café/bakery preferred).

Strong experience creating SOPs, training teams, and improving systems.

Ability to lead both FOH and BOH.

Good communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.

Comfortable working in a growing, fast‑paced environment.
