Job summary

AWH Ventures Sdn Bhd, a transportation and logistics company, is seeking an Operations Executive (Haulage) to manage daily haulage and trucking operations, ensure timely deliveries, optimize fleet utilization, and lead driver performance with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will coordinate with Sales, Customer Service and Operations teams, monitor deliveries, manage maintenance schedules, and drive process improvements to boost efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in transportation industry.
• Able to prioritise delivery timelines and ad hoc demands.
• Able to organize, plan, and multitask.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to handle pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily haulage and trucking operations including scheduling and tracking.
• Coordinate carrier arrangements, depot coordination, and delivery planning with Sales and Service teams.
• Monitor deliveries and collections, addressing delays and issues.
• Handle last-minute changes to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure delivery targets and customer service standards are met.
• Identify improvements to boost efficiency and service.

POSITION: OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE (HAULAGE)

1. Job Summary

To manage and control daily haulage and trucking operations efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries, optimal fleet utilization, strong driver management, and full compliance with safety, legal, and ISO requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Operations Management

• Manage and control daily haulage and trucking operations, including transportation, delivery scheduling, planning and tracking.
• Regular interaction with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams on carrier arrangements, depot coordination, order scheduling, and delivery planning.
• Monitor all deliveries and collections, ensuring timely execution and resolution of any delays or issues.
• Handle last-minute changes and urgent requests efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
• Ensure delivery targets and customer service standards are consistently achieved.
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.

2.2 Fleet Maintenance

• Work closely with maintenance team to plan and coordinate truck and trailer maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
• Ensure all fleet documentation is valid and up to date, including licenses, permits, Puspakom inspection, GVP permit, truck and driver passes.
• Manage and control diesel usage and ensure proper fuel management .
• Analyze diesel consumption and fleet fuel efficiency, identifying abnormalities and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance fleet efficiency, reliability, and overall operational performance.

2.3 Driver Management

• Monitor and evaluate driver performance, attendance, and productivity.
• Manage driver discipline, conduct, and attitude to ensure professionalism at all times.
• Address driver misconduct and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Promote and enforce safe driving practices in line with company safety standards.
• Work closely with the HSE department to monitor and improve driver safety performance.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to improve driver performance and service quality.

2.4 Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with all safety, legal, and statutory regulations.
• Actively participate in the implementation of safety policies and directives.
• Promote and communicate safety awareness across the team.
• Participate in safety activities and programs.
• Involve in truck breakdowns, incident rescue operations, accident reporting, and investigation activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Job Requirement:

1.Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or related field.

2.Minimum 3 years working experience in transportation industry.

3.Able to prioritize on the delivery timeline and any urgent or ad hoc demands.

4.Good at organizing and work planning and able to multitask.

5.Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with teams and departments effectively.

6.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to handle pressure.
